Luna Park Melbourne

Perfect for an afternoon of family fun on its 18 rides and numerous fairground attractions, Luna Park Melbourne is a 10-minute drive south of the hotel. First opened in 1913, it was abandoned for years before being refurbished in 2005, with adrenaline-inducing new thrill rides such as Coney Island Top Drop and Pharoah’s Curse, as well as gentle carousels for younger children. Two things to remember: the park has height restrictions and is only open weekends and on school and public holidays. However, there’s ample parking, and the amusement park is right next to St. Kilda Beach, where kids can cool off in the sea.
